Welcome to Grace United Methodist Church!
We have been serving the Newport News, Virginia community for over 50 years. Grace Church has two Sunday morning services. An early, or praise service, begins in our chapel at 8:45, and a traditional worship service begins at 11. We have a variety of Sunday School classes at 9:45 with nursery care available at all of these times. Directions and contact information can be found on the links to your left.
ALL ARE WELCOME!

Mission Statement
Grace United Methodist Church celebrates God's love by welcoming and caring for one another. We seek God's direction through worship, by walking together in the image of Christ, by sharing what God is doing in our lives, and by following Christ's example of humble service.

JULY SUPER INTERGENERATIONAL SUNDAY SCHOOL
NOOMA is coming. What is NOOMA? NOOMA is an ultra-contemporary series of short DVDs that are down to earth and relevant. They use life experiences to teach about the fullness of life through Jesus, tackling issues like forgiveness, discipleship, and unconditional love. Each film is about 15 minutes long, followed by discussion. It will provide us with more out of the ordinary, intergenerational Sunday School for the summer. Come at 9:45, see what it’s about, and be a part!
July 12- Trees We want to know why we are here, if our lives really matter, and how religion is relevant to this life. We want to know if the choices we make now will shape our world and lives
today and forever.
July 19- Dust Believing in God is important, but what about God believing in us? Believing we can be the kind of people we are meant to be—people of love, compassion, peace, forgiveness, and hope. It’s easy for us to sometimes get down on ourselves, but maybe if we had more insight into the culture that Jesus grew up in and some of the radical things he did, we’d understand the faith that God has in us.
July 26- Rain Things don’t always work out the way we want them to or the way we think they will. We get hit with some form of pain out of nowhere, and it leaves us feeling helpless. Where is God when it hurts? Maybe God is closer than we think.
We also have a Preschool and Play to Learn program which operates during the week in the Children's Wing.
