Choir News (11:00 a.m.)

CHAPEL AND CHERUB CHOIRS

Thanks to the Grace UMC Chapel and Cherub Choirs who sang and rang for Easter on March 31 at the 11 a. m. service. The Children will help lead the 11 a.m. service again in May on Mother’s Day.

Chapel Choir is for ages 6-10 and Cherub Choir is for ages 4 and 5. Both choirs meet on Sunday morning upstairs in the Children’s wing, last classroom on the left. Chapel Choir meets from 9:30-10 and Cherub Choir meets from 10-10:20.

Chapel Choir focuses on learning how to play chimes, sing, keep rhythm, and much more. Cherub Choir focuses on singing, ear training, music theory, and learning about instruments and how to play them. We always welcome new children.

CHANCEL CHOIR

The Grace UMC Chancel Choir led our worship with seasonally appropriate music through Lent and on Easter Sunday morning. Thank you to everyone for your hard work. The Chancel Choir meets every Thursday, 7:45-9:00 p.m. in the Choir Room, September through July. Join us!

CHANCEL BELLS

The Grace UMC Chancel Bells helped lead our worship Palm Sunday and Easter. Thank you all for you hard work. The Chancel Bell Choir meets every Thursday, 6:30-7:30, September through May in the Small Fellowship Hall. We welcome new ringers. If you are new to bell ringing, we’ll teach you all you need to know.

Early Service and Praise Choir (8:45 a.m.)

Our Early Service welcomes you with lively music, joyful worship, heartfelt sharing, and a friendly “hello”. The 8:45 Service is informal, yet clearly focused on growing in faith and living with hope. Refreshments after worship give us an easy way to visit with one another. The Praise Choir practices each Thursday evening at 6 and Sunday mornings at 8:20– everyone is welcome to join. If you would like to participate in any other way, from getting to church in time to welcome early arrivals to helping with sound or visual presentations to serving communion, let the pastor know. Words for hymns are projected so all can participate. And bring a friend with you to church!

Chapel Choir - Sundays, 9:30-10:00am.

Cherub Choir - Sundays, 10:00-10:20am

Rhythm activies and instruments are offered.

In the Chapel Choir, Children in 1st grade to 5th grade practice from 9:30-10 and in the Cherub Choir, children ages 4-5 practice from 10:00- 10:20.

These two choirs provide opportunities for being part of a team while discovering the singing voice.

They sing during our worship services several times a year.

Praise Choir - Thursdays, 6:00-6:30

Adults and Youth

Contemporary Christian music and traditional hymns are sung by our Praise Choir during the 8:45 service.

Chancel Choir - Thursdays, 7:45-9:00

Adults and Youth (16+)

Traditional and new anthems of today are offered by this choir during our 11 a.m. service.

Adult Handbells - Thursdays, 6:30-7:30

Adults and Youth (16+)

Understanding the printed page of music results in a fun and rewarding

experience with this choir.

Handbells play for our worship services several times a year.
